The situation:

A seller of direct-sale consumer goods wished to roll out a new item to add to their line of high-end home health products. Their engineering was mostly complete but needed additional work and they did not know how to take the manufacturing offshore. The company president was referred to Offshore Strategies.

Action:

We immediately arranged to meet with the president and subsequently prepared a proposal based on our meeting. The initial proposal included the cost for nearly 50 plastic injection molds for parts needed to build the product which ultimately contained 186 individual items. We also provided a production time line and start-up schedule that included UL certifications.

Summary:

By working with the customer’s engineering firm and our offshore team, we were able to successfully launch the product and meet the customer’s cost targets and roll out schedule. We continue to make this line of products after nearly 11 years from the time of our first introduction to this customer.
